World Series Game Recaps
World Series Game Recaps but first a discussion on how to know who you are really rooting for! Well this may be a little mundane but what kind of baseball person/writer/fan would I be without keeping track of the World Series games, especially this World Series. It is historic.  Two teams, both with long World Series droughts, are fighting it out for the top spot in all of baseball.  I don’t know about you but I find it hard to not root for the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs already broke a curse simply making it to the Fall Classic and […]

World Series Game Recaps & the conundrum of who to ...

This day is an HUGE one in the history of Major League Baseball. It is the day that the Chicago Cubs were officially cursed.  A man named William Sianis brought his goat, Murphy, to Wrigley Field to watch game four of the 1945 World Series between the Cubs and the Detroit Tigers. Murphy’s stench was bothering the fans surrounding William “Billy Goat” Sianis. They were eventually forced to leave in the fourth inning, even though Sianis had bought two box seats – one for him and one for Murphy. Needless to say, Sianis was not pleased. Some fans were unhappy and one even shouted “you suck.” However, Bryant made some brilliant defensive plays at third base. Not to mention that he had flown in Friday morning and arrived on the field once the rest of the team as already out there. Plus, there was the build-up after his amazing […]

Update: Kris Bryant goes 0-4 in MLB debut

Saturday a new billboard was unveiled by Adidas right across the street from the Chicago Cubs‘ Wrigley Field. Oddly enough it featured a player in the Cubs’ organization who did not make the 25-man roster for tonight’s opener against the St. Louis Cardinals. Of course that player was slugging third baseman Kris Bryant who was sent down to the minors on Monday despite having belted more home runs than anyone else all spring. So what’s the deal? Find out what the deal is on Baseball Hot Corner using the link below: Adidas mocking the Cubs with new billboard? Brought to […]
