New A’s playing their way into 2016

Lately, for the Athletics it has been the new guys and/or September call-ups who have been making some of the biggest contributions to the team. In doing so, they are also helping their cases to be kept around to continue helping the team in 2016.

Infielder Danny Valencia, picked up off of waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays, has been the one getting the clutch hits for a team that is starting to look a bit better, finally.

September call-ups reliever Ryan Dull and catcher Carson Blair have been the most impressive of the new crop of players that made the cut when MLB rosters expanded on September 1.
Valencia, Blair and Dull have all shown so much promise that they are each making a case for themselves to be in the mix for a spot on the team next season.
