The Angels need a bat. The Reds are likely shopping Jay Bruce. A marriage of the two makes all the sense in the world.
The Los Angeles Angels need a bat. Mike Trout can’t do everything himself. Well, actually, when you think about it, maybe he could. But in all seriousness, Trout and Albert Pujols can’t carry the Angels’ offense on their backs by themselves. They’re going to need some help to stay ahead of the Houston Astros in the AL West, hold off the Texas Rangers and who knows, maybe even the Oakland A’s. Whatever the case, the Angels need to be prepared.
I think they’re best option is the Cincinnati Reds’ outfielder Jay Bruce and while he may not be dangling out there like Johnny Cueto and Mike Leake, word is that he is available. For more on why Bruce would be a good choice and fit for the Angels, check out the rest of my post on FanRag Sports’ Today’s Knuckleball:
