The A’s came to an agreement with their only unsigned player, newly acquired All-Star set-up man Tyler Clippard, on Wednesday. Clippard orginally filed for $8.85 million and the A’s countered with $7.775 million for the 2015 season.
The two parties settled on a number prior to the scheduled hearing that was, surprisingly, slightly below the midpoint of $8.3125 million. Clippard will make $8.3 million in 2015 according to CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman.
