Astros and Colby Rasmus have deal in place

It has already been confirmed that Ryan Vogelsong was in Houston on Monday for a physical and to finalize the details on a contract with the Houston Astros.

There was a rumor Tuesday morning that free agent outfielder Colby Rasmus was spotted by a fan in Houston.

What was “very sketchy” has now been officially confirmed. Rasmus is in fact in Texas. Rasmus spoke with Fox 26 News in Houston confirming that he was there for a physcial, which implies that some kind of deal is in place for the 28-year-old centerfielder.

Although earlier Tuesday morning Rasmus said that a deal was not yet in place, it has now been confirmed by multiple sources that the Astros have agreed with the centerfielder on a one-year deal worth $4 million, however, rumors are swirling that the contract could be worth more than that.
