Former New York Yankees‘ ace and still star pitcher C.C. Sabathia, who battled knee problems throughout the 2014 season, says he expects to be ready by the time pitchers and catchers are supposed to report for spring training.
In 2014 Sabathia was limited to just eight starts. He last pitched on May 10, 2014 before going on the disabled list and eventually undergoing surgery for a degenerative right knee condition in July. He went 3-4 with a 5.28 ERA in those eight starts.
On Friday, Sabathia was attending a boxing match that was being hosted by Roc Nation Sports, the agency that represents him. He spoke with the New York Daily News while he was there and said that he has been playing catch and expects to be throwing bullpen sessions later in the month.
