According to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth is schedule to have surgery on his right shoulder on Friday.

The rehabilitation process should take two or three months. Which may actually work in Werth’s favor. He was arrested last July for driving 105 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was later sentenced to ten days in jail.
Werth orginally said he was going to appeal the sentence, which does seem a bit extreme seeing that Yasiel Puig got caught doing the same thing more than once and never ended up with actual jail time. There hasn’t been another mention of the appeal since the sentencing.
