I’m in the process of writing a series of columns for FanSided Features that has been and will be ranking the top five free agents at each position. I began with number one, the starting pitcher and will conclude not with the number nine position player in right field but with the sometime unrecognized “tenth position” of relief pitchers.

You can look for these columns two days a week (Sunday and Wednesday for the next few weeks on FanSided as I go through each position’s players who are soon to be the most coveted free agents in their respective markets. So far guy like Jon Lester, Max Scherzer, Russell Martin and Victor Martinez have been atop my first three lists. You can check them out using the links below. Twice weekly I will update and repost this blog post in order to keep you updated.

I hope you will take a minute to click on my links as now and as they become available, check out my slideshows and comment as to where I was right and where I may have been wrong! I would love to hear your feedback so without further ado, here are the top five free agents for positions one through three, pitchers, catchers and first baseman! Enjoy! And as always thanks for reading Bullpen, Baseball and Sock Talk!

My series on the top 5 free agents that will be avaialble for 2015 at each position:

  • MLB: Ranking the top 5 free agent center fielders (coming Wed. Oct. 22nd)
